Privacy Policy for Rollshot
This Privacy Policy describes how miramiao (“we”, “us”; www.miramiao.com) handles your information when you use Rollshot (“the app”).
The short version
We do not collect, store, or receive any of your data. Rollshot has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no servers of ours. Recording, stitching and exporting all happen on your device.
Scroll & record
Recording uses the iOS screen recording feature. Frames are handed to Rollshot’s recording extension, which stitches them on your device in real time. The extension keeps only the few key frames needed for stitching and never produces or saves a screen-recording video. The finished long screenshot is stored inside the app and is written to your photo library only when you tap “Save to Photos”. Anything shown on screen while recording, including content from other apps, is processed on your device only and never leaves it.
Stitching screenshots and importing a recording
Picking images uses the iOS system picker. Only the screenshots or the video you select are handed to the app; no photo library permission is required and the app cannot see anything else in your library.
Web page capture
A URL you enter is requested by your device directly from that website and rendered inside the app. The request does not go through any server of ours, so we never know which pages you capture. The website may log the visit under its own privacy policy. Pages load in a non-persistent session; cookies and caches are discarded when you leave.
Permissions the app may ask for
- Photo library (add only) — only when you tap “Save to Photos”, to write the long screenshot. The app does not read your library.
- Notifications — only to tell you that a recording finished and the long screenshot is ready. Notifications are generated locally on the device.
- Screen recording — started and stopped by you in the system recording sheet; the app cannot record without your action.
Purchases
If you buy Rollshot Pro, the transaction is handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not see or store your payment details.
Tracking
The app does not track you, does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and does not share data with other companies for advertising or analytics.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and because we collect no data, we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
