Privacy Policy for Shotpin
This Privacy Policy describes how miramiao (“we”, “us”; www.miramiao.com) handles your information when you use Shotpin (“the app”).
The short version
We do not collect, store, or receive any of your data. Shotpin has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no servers of ours. Everything you capture stays on your device unless you turn on sync to a destination you choose.
Photos and locations
Shotpin takes a photo and records where it was taken. Photos and their locations are stored inside the app on your device. They are not added to your photo library unless you turn on “Also save to Photos”, and they are not uploaded anywhere by us.
To show a readable address for a spot, the app asks Apple’s geocoding service to translate the coordinates into an address, and it shows Apple Maps map tiles. These requests go directly from your device to Apple and are covered by Apple’s privacy policy. We do not see them.
Permissions the app may ask for
- Camera — to take photos of a spot.
- Location (while using the app) — to record where each photo was taken and to show distance to a spot.
- Photo library (add only) — only if you turn on “Also save to Photos” or save a single photo to your library. Importing existing photos uses the system picker and does not require library access.
- Face ID / Touch ID — only if you turn on the app lock. Biometric matching is done by iOS; the app never receives biometric data.
- Local network — only if you set up sync to your own storage, to discover servers on your Wi-Fi.
Navigation
When you tap Navigate, the app hands the destination coordinates to the navigation app you chose (Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, Amap or Baidu Maps). From that point on, that app’s privacy policy applies.
Optional sync
Sync is off by default. If you turn it on, your photos and spot data are copied to the destination you configure:
- iCloud Drive — stored in your own iCloud account, handled by Apple.
- Your own storage — a WebDAV server, an S3-compatible bucket, or a folder you choose in the Files app (for example an SMB share). Data is sent only to the address you enter. Server passwords and keys are stored in the iPhone keychain.
In every case the data goes from your device to your chosen destination. We never receive a copy.
Purchases
If you buy Shotpin Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details.
Tracking
Shotpin does not track you, does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and does not share data with other companies for advertising or analytics.
Children’s Privacy
Shotpin is not directed at children under 13, and since we collect no data, we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
